Reliance Industries telecom unit Jio is now going to launch the smartphone in the world. Jio will bring the cheapest Android-powered smartphone. Jio's new smartphone will support 4G and 5G technology. By December, Jio's Android-powered smartphone could be muscular. Jio is manufacturing nearly 10 crore low-cost smartphones on Google's Android-based platform.
As per media reports, Jio's Android smartphone will be available with many great data packs. According to the report, the phone can be offered in December this year or early next year. Reliance is India's most valued company. In its digital unit, Alphabet company's Google announced an investment of about Rs 33,102 crore in July this year.
Reliance, which controls Mukesh Ambani, said in July that Google is developing an Android operating system (OS) based on which 4G and 5G smartphones will be designed by Reliance. The arrival of Jio's new smartphone could be a dangerous blow to Chinese smartphone companies such as Xiaomi, Realme, Oppo and Vivo, which are very much dominating the country's low-cost smartphone market. These Chinese companies occupy the Indian market of about Rs 14,713 crore. Out of this, the smartphone has a partnership of about Rs 7,360 crore. Soon the phone will knock into the market.
