Lucknow: The Congress has started preparing for the UP Assembly elections of 2022 at this time. The initiative to strengthen the Congress has started in UP, so far 7 committees have been formed. There are also reports that Jitin Prasada, a Brahmin face in UP, former state president Raj Babbar and former Union Minister RPN Singh have been excluded.

According to this released statement, Congress President Sonia Gandhi constituted the Declaration Committee, Liaison Committee (Outreach Committee), Membership Committee, Program Implementation Committee, Training and Cadre Development Committee, Panchayati Raj Election Committee and Media and Communication Consultative Committee for U.P. Apart from this, now it is also believed that the Congress has tried to satisfy the old leaders through these committees.

They have given responsibilities to young leaders to maintain a balance. Senior party leaders Salman Khurshid and PL Punia have been included. Apart from this, Pramod Tiwari has been included in Liaison Committee, Anugraha Narayan Singh is part of the Membership Committee, Noor Bano holds a place in Program Implementation Committee, Rajesh Mishra in Panchayati Raj Committee and Rashid Alvi in Media and Communication Consultative Committee.
