Jammu: Central Government has taken an important decision regarding the restoration of 4G mobile Internet service in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The government told the Supreme Court that on August 16, the restrictions on 4G mobile Internet service in two cities of Jammu and Kashmir will be lifted on the basis of investigation. These will be cities which are less sensitive.

The Supreme Court was hearing a petition filed by an NGO 'Foundation for Media Professionals' in June. In which there was a demand to initiate contempt proceedings against Central and Jammu and Kashmir Administration for review of the failure of the apex court to follow the instructions of 11 May.

Before this, the Supreme Court had asked the Jammu and Kashmir Administration on Friday to explore the possibility of restoring 4G Internet service in some areas. In August last year, the Center had announced the abolition of the important status of Jammu and Kashmir and divided it into two Union Territories. Since then, high-speed Internet service has been banned in Jammu and Kashmir. The cases of Corona is constantly increasing in this period. All possible efforts are being made to deal with it, but no successful results have been revealed. It is necessary that we protect ourselves, so that Corona can be defeated. Along with this, follow the guidelines issued by the government.
