New Delhi: Director General of the Jammu and Kashmir Police Dilbag Singh has instructed all field units to make "Har Ghar Tiranga" a huge success with celebrations across the Union Territory from August 11 to August 17, 2022, in accordance with instructions from the Union Ministry of Culture. These will be a part of the nationwide "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" celebrations.
Special Tiranga marches, to be held for a week starting on Wednesday, are one of the primary job areas/action plans, according to a circular from the J&K Police Headquarters. It would also include distribution of pamphlets and other materials by the Police as also a tie-up with the Department of Culture for Nukkad Nataks on the theme "AAN BAAN SHAAN OF TIRANGA.
It has been ordered that all police stations and employees display banners, posters, standees, and the flag at their individual residences. Also, there are directives to run specific Tiranga distribution and sales drives at police colonies and checkpoints in order to post Tiranga posters.
Senior Superintendents of Police, Inspectors General, and Deputy Inspectors General have been instructed to schedule media briefings on the plans of action in their respective jurisdictions. Police hospitals, waiting rooms, media/Police websites, and wall paintings will all be equipped with digital screens and flag displays.
Police websites would also install banners linking the Amrit Mahotsav website, Har Ghar Jhanda corner, Special media briefings about "Har Ghar Jhanda" a Programme by unit heads such as Zonal IGPs, District SSPs and Commandants etc.
