Jammu: The National Investigation Agency has raided several residences of banned group Jamaat-e-Islami in Jammu and Kashmir over terror funding. The agency teams have conducted raids at the houses and offices of persons belonging to Jamaat-e-Islami. It has been reported that raids were conducted by the NIA along with J&K police and CRPF since 6 am on Wednesday.

According to reports, the NIA raids are the next step of 61 raids conducted in several areas of Jammu and Kashmir on August 8 and 9. In August, raids were conducted by teams of NIA at Srinagar, Budgam, Ganderbal, Baramulla, Kupwara, Bandipora, Anantnag, Shopian, Pulwama, Kulgam, Ramban, Doda, Kishtwar and Rajouri districts.

The same NIA had earlier raided six cities of Jammu and Kashmir on October 22. The houses of several terrorists killed in the encounter with security forces were also involved in the raid. the NIA had also arrested 8 criminals. State that continuous action is being taken by the NIA in the case of the killing of common citizens in Kashmir Valley. According to reports, the persons whose houses and offices were raided by the NIA are accused of helping the terrorists. NIA had also raided 16 hideouts in Jammu and Kashmir on October 10.
