Jodhpur cylinder blast: Death toll rises to 12, including 7 children

Jaipur: The number of deaths in a gas cylinder blast in Bhungra of Shergarh, Jodhpur, Rajasthan, is increasing. Three people succumbed to their injuries in the accident this morning. The dead include a woman and two children. Now the death toll has increased to 12. Earlier, 8 deaths were reported till Friday.

The deceased were identified as Sua Kanwar (60), Poonam (11), Sajjan Kanwar (10), and Surendra Singh (30). Sua Kanwar suffered 60 to 70 percent burn injuries, Sajjan Kanwar 80 to 90 percent, and Poonam 80 to 90 percent. The highest number of deaths so far are children. Of the dead, seven are children. At the same time, funerals continued throughout the day in the village where the accident took place on Friday. Relatives and villagers who were performing the last rites together with burnt pyres are also shocked by the increasing number of deaths.

At the same time, a team of doctors from Jaipur has been sent to Jodhpur on the instructions of the CM for better treatment of the injured. On Friday, as soon as the bodies of Ratan Singh, grandson of innocent children Sagat Singh and Khushboo Kanwar, granddaughter of his brother Hamir Singh, reached the courtyard of the deserted house, everyone's soul trembled and the atmosphere became gloomy.
