LOS ANGELES: John Stamos, an actor best known for playing Jesse Katsopolis on "Full House," came close to playing a hooker. He admitted that he once had lunch with Ryan Murphy, the creator of "Glee," to talk about the possibility of portraying a prostitute who helps to "work on" a couple's marriage.
"When I was with him for lunch at The Ivy, I recalled asking: "So what's the show?" And he says, "Well," And once more, if he gave me the show today, I would accept it immediately. However, the response was something along the lines of, "Okay, you play a male hooker and you mend the, you sleep with the husband, sleep with the wife, and you kind of work on their marriage," "According to aceshowbiz.com, he said.
The former "General Hospital" star went on to say that Ryan had playfully likened the potential show - which never materialised - to "Charlie's Angels," and he quickly realised he was not interested in the notion once their appetisers had arrived.
He mentioned the following on "The Jess Cagle Podcast": "Then he said, "And moreover, there's a really cute black guy and a cute blonde guy. But instead of being "Charlie's Angels," you are whores. named "Charlie's Hookers." The appetiser then simply sat down and had to sit. I thought, "Oh God, I have to sit with this guy with Charlie's Hookers for another hour." But I should have done it!" In the meantime, Stamos recently reflected on how much he misses his old co-star, the late comic Bob Saget, who was discovered dead in a hotel room in January at the age of 65 after accidentally hitting his head.
He stated: "When he passed away, all of us were astounded by the outpouring of affection that this man experienced. It was the only time in my life that I felt envious of him because, wow. The bad news was that he was ignorant. He may not have realised how much he was loved. And I'd really like it if you could sort of bring him back, put him down, and read everything."
