Akshay Kumar has started off the year 2017 with a successful note as his first release Jolly LLB 2 has grossed over Rs 50 crore only in its opening weekend.
The opening weekend collection has made the film all-time highest weekend for the month of February.
Moreover, it is also the highest non-holiday opening weekend for an Akshay's film. The film has been praising by both the critics and the audience.
As the trade analyst Amod Mehra said, "He has proved that one doesn't need a big festival to release a film. He seems to have understood the pulse of the audience and has been doing a panoply of roles. His films are also made within a limited budget, so recovery is easier."
