Raipur: The Chhattisgarh Police on Friday detained a journalist and a political satirist from Raipur. It has been alleged that journalists are tarnishing the image of the Government through their political writings and spreading false rumours. The action was taken by the police following a complaint by Congress worker Khilwan Nishad.  

In the complaint filed on behalf of Khilwan Nishad, it was alleged that the journalists, through their political column 'Ghurwa Ke Mati', were spreading false rumours against the government and creating differences between congress office-bearers and ministers. This is tarnishing the image of the Government.  

The police have detained the journalist and lodged a complaint against him under three sections. According to the information received by the police, it is alleged that the journalists are publishing misinformation about the government through their political columns. Apart from this, in the complaint, he has also been accused of being right-wing. The case is now being investigated by the police.
