New Delhi: BJP national president JP Nadda has targeted the Congress on Friday by quoting some of the Supreme Court's comments on a PIL. Regarding the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Congress and the Communist Party in 2008, Nadda tweeted that "this is a surprise to the Supreme Court".
JP Nadda further wrote that, 'Even the apex court is shocked by the agreement between the Congress party and the Chinese government ... The signing Mrs Gandhi and her son should clarify this. Did Rajiv Gandhi Foundation get the donation due to this and in return the Indian market was opened for China which affected Indian business? ' In fact, the apex court on Friday refused to accept the PIL seeking a probe by the NIA into a 2008 agreement between the Congress and the ruling Communist Party of China.
However, when the petitioner's counsel Mahesh Jethmalani said that it is an agreement of a political party of this country with the only party of another country (China) and the issue is related to national security. The Supreme Court expressed surprise at the agreement on this. The court said, "In our limited experience, we have never heard of any political party having compromised with any other country." JP Nadda has questioned Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, targeting the Congress, for this comment of the Supreme Court.
