NEW DELHI: BJP President J.P. Nadda will meet with Vietnam's senior communist party leader, Nguyen Van Nen, on Monday afternoon. Nadda will meet Nen, a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam's politburo and secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, at the BJP headquarters here.
This meeting is part of the BJP's 'Know BJP' outreach programme, in which the party chief interacts with foreign dignitaries. So far, Nadda has met with Nepal Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Singapore's Minister for Foreign Relations Vivian Balakrishnan, and envoys from 47 countries as part of this programme.
During the meeting, B.L. Santhosh, national secretary Rituraj Sinha, and Dr. Vijay Chauthaiwale, in charge of the party's foreign affairs department, will join Nadda.
Nadda met with Balakrishnan on June 16 to discuss ways to strengthen the India-Singapore Strategic Partnership and to exchange views on regional and international developments.
On the occasion of the party's foundation day, Nadda launched a new initiative called 'Know BJP,' which is aimed specifically at international audiences. During the interaction, Nadda elaborates on the BJP's and its governments' history, struggles, successes, ideology, and contribution to national development. During the meetings, he also addresses queries from distinguished guests.
