Kolkata: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President JP Nadda is on a visit to West Bengal on Wednesday. He met the families of the deceased BJP workers who were victims of violence by TMC goons for the past three days. He also addressed party workers in Kolkata. At the same time, Mamata Banerjee was sworn in as the CM of the state for the third consecutive term at Raj Bhavan.

J P Nadda said the BJP will establish constitutional principles established by Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar and raise its voice against political violence in West Bengal. He further said that his party will ensure an equal atmosphere for all in the state. Nadda said that those who have the responsibility of protecting democracy are the masterminds of this violence. Nadda himself was sworn in and administered an oath to other BJP leaders that he would continue to free West Bengal from political violence.

Nadda further said, "We fought against political violence, appeasement and atrocities in Bengal. We will not shy away from discharging our responsibilities". The BJP has also alleged that the stage set up by JP Nadda in front of the party headquarters was demolished by the Kolkata Police. J P Nadda will also meet 77 new MLAs and all 18 MPs of the party during his visit.
