Bhubaneswar, District collector of Jajpur has been asked by the state government to ensure proper implementation of ICDS programme at Nagada village in Sukinda block.

Recently, twelve Juang children died of alleged malnutrition in the village.

Women and child development secretary V K Dev wrote a letter to collector, "Ensure that all ICDS entitlements are made available to children of 0 to six years and pregnant and lactating mothers".

According to him, supervisor and anganwadi workers may be directed to camp in Nagada for 15 days with immediate effect.

Besides, the concerned CDPO should visit the camp every alternate day, he added.

After health secretary Arti Ahuja submitted an inquiry report to government on alleged malnutrition deaths in Jajpur, then Dave gave this direction.
