Lucknow: A Muslim youth in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur is finding it difficult to convert to Hinduism. In fact, a Muslim youth named Junaid has left Islam and converted to Sanatan religion in Babupurwa police station area of the city and is seen carrying a saffron robe on his body and a statue of Lord Ganesha in his hands. But, Junaid, who comes from an Islamic family, is also finding it difficult to worship idols.

Actually, Junaid's wife and his in-laws are preventing Junaid from doing so. At the same time, Junaid has decided to adopt Sanatan Dharma. His mother Rani Begum has also stood with his decision. Junaid's mother has also sought protection from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Kanpur Police. According to the report, Rani Begum lives with her son Junaid in a rented house in Babupurwa police station area. Junaid's mother Rani Begum says that Junaid was suffering from eye problems in childhood, despite all the treatment, he was not able to get any rest.

According to Rani Begum, one day a Hindu woman living in the neighborhood took Junaid and his mother to Shobhan Sarkar's temple in Kanpur Dehat, where they prayed for the recovery of Junaid's eyes. From where Junaid's eyes gradually recovered completely. Since then, he and his son Junaid became influenced by Vedic Sanatan Dharma and started worshiping at home, due to which his family has now become his enemy.

In the year 2019, Junaid got married to a young woman from Bindki. On coming home, when the wife came to know about Junaid's worship, she started protesting. When the mother-in-law and brother-in-law came home and complained, mother Rani Begum tried to explain the whole thing to them, but they did not agree. It is alleged that after this, the in-laws took Junaid's wife away, threatening to kill him. Not only this, once the in-laws also tried to kill mother Rani Begum by electrocuting her. Fed up with the constant harassment, Junaid lodged a complaint at Babupurwa police station, but due to no action, he approached DCP South Shivaji Shukla on Friday (June 9).

Junaid said that he has appealed to CM Yogi Adityanath to return home. He has sent a letter to PM Modi and CM Yogi to return to Sanatan Dharma. DCP South, Shivaji Shukla says in this case that the young man has told the whole episode together. Babupurwa police have been instructed to investigate and take necessary action.
