The handsome hunk Vidyut Jammwal starrer Junglee has opened at the box office on a good note. The film is being loved by the audience and more particullary kids. are liking the visuals and scenes with the real elephants. There is strong word of mouth around the film. Kids are loving the action and cute visuals.  It has made Rs 3.35 crore. Most trade experts had predicted that it would make in the bracket of Rs 3-4 crore and they have been proved correct.

Made on a budget of Rs. 22 crore, the movie is likely to cross the 10-crore mark over the weekend itself. The movie released along with Salman Khan Films' production Notebook which stars debutants Zaheer Iqbal and Pranutan in the lead roles. Notebook reportedly minted Rs. 1.75 crore over the first day. The movies, like Akshay Kumar-Parineeti Chopra starrer Kesari, might be affected a little due to the ongoing IPL.

The film is shot at an elephant reserve in Thailand. The real animals and locations are the biggest USP of the film.

 Junglee is also the debut of The Mask and The Scorpion King director Chuck Russell in Bollywood. In the film, Vidyut is a top notch vet who comes to his beloved elephant sanctuary and elephant, Bhola. Poachers attack the jungle and kill Bhola. How, he eliminates them to save the sanctuary is what Junglee is all about.
