The Twitter user tagged Alan Musk and wrote, "Please introduce the Tesla car in India at the earliest." According to reports, Tesla is likely to launch its car in India this year. At the same time, the company has written to the Ministry and NITI Aayog asking them to reduce their import duty. According to sources, the company has asked for a rectangle tax of fully assembled electric car to be raised to 40 per cent which will be better. Now, it is currently reduced to 60 per cent for cars priced less than $40,000 and 100 per cent for cars worth more than $40,000. On the other hand, only one car in the company costs less than $40,000 when it comes to Tesla cars.
