Chandigarh: Police have arrested the main accused Krishna in connection with the burning alive of 42-year-old Mukesh of Kasar village under Bahadurgarh in Haryana. The investigation so far revealed that some protesters consumed liquor with Mukesh and then set him on fire alive. When Mukesh's family came to know about it, they took him to the hospital, but his life could not be saved. However, before he died, a video of Mukesh was made in which he is naming the accused.

Let us tell you that this incident took place on Wednesday (June 16, 2021) night. Mukesh's wife Renu has been in deep shock since the incident. In a media interaction, she repeatedly repeats the same question: What will happen to her and her 10-year-old son now? The villagers have submitted a memorandum giving seven days time to the administration in the matter, which also sought financial assistance to the victim's family. When asked about the incident on that day, Renu says that Mukesh left home around 5 pm. He had not even taken his mobile with him. Renu says, "Everything was right when they left home at 5 o'clock. There was no dispute. He said, "I will come soon." I said take my phone and said no, I'll come soon".

Villagers and family members claim that mukesh may have been lured drunk by alleged farmer protesters in the name of being a "martyr" with the intention of defaming the government. Renu also says, "If Mukesh goes there, they must have sat there. He must have drunk. They sprayed petrol and put fire on him. They burned him very badly". Renu also claims that all the farmers sitting there were drunk.
