Bhopal: In the recent past, many parts of the country have undergone a drastic change, while after introducing new flights in Madhya Pradesh, an airport will now be set up in Ujjain, the city of Mahakal. Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Tuesday wrote to MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan to allot land and allocate Rs 200 crore. Earlier in the day, Scindia, who came to Ujjain, had talked about expanding the runway and constructing airports.

After becoming the same Civil Aviation Minister, Jyotiraditya Scindia is giving many gifts to Madhya Pradesh. Connecting flights connecting Gwalior, Jabalpur, and Indore to several major districts have been started as well as expansion of Indore and Jabalpur airports. At the same time, they also want to build an airport in Ujjain, the city of Mahakal, where people from all over the country and abroad can reach. At present, there is only one airstrip in Ujjain, small aircraft or helicopters can be landed here. Or Ujjain can be reached only through Indore airport.

Jyotiraditya Scindia has also informed that he has written to CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan urging him to provide the land required for the development of the airport and capital of Rs 200 crore for estimated expenditure at Ujjain airstrip which is owned by the state government. This will enable the airport to be operationalized.
