Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan arrived in Delhi on Sunday and here he had a long meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah till late night. Chief Minister Shivraj will go to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi later this afternoon. After this, the Chief Minister will come back to Bhopal late evening. However Jyotiraditya Scindia can also come from Delhi along with the Chief Minister. After the Chief Minister's return, the information about when the cabinet will be expanded will be revealed by tonight. Meanwhile, in view of the ill health of Governor Lalji Tandon, the President has given additional charge of MP to Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel. The oath of new members in the cabinet can be administered on 30 June.
According to sources, CM Chouhan has discussed the possible cabinet expansion in Delhi with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President Jagatprakash Nadda, Organization General Secretary BL Santosh and Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar. Chief Minister is scheduled to meet Narendra Modi at 4 pm. Earlier, after meeting Chief Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, he would also visit the RSS office in Jhandewalan. State BJP President VD Sharma and State Organization General Secretary Suhas Bhagat have also accompanied the Chief Minister.
25 ministers can be included in the cabinet. These include 10 ministers of the Scindia faction and 15 ministers of the BJP quota. The decision regarding the name and department of Scindia supporters will be decided after the meeting of Scindia and Shivraj. According to information from the party's highly placed sources, some senior leaders who were ministers in previous governments will not be included in the cabinet this time.
