Ghost stories are quite popular among audiences across industries, so it is no surprise that the premise of the upcoming Kannada film Kanadante Mayavadanu has aroused interest for versions in Tamil and Telugu as well. In the Kannada film, Vikas and Sindhu Loknath follow a ghost who is out for revenge, but becomes powerless to do so. "Though the protagonist is a ghost, the film is not a horror story by any means. For the details, let us know that it is a sweet love story with lots of humour, emotions and action sequences."

There are no jump-scar or scary elements. It is an entertainment that the whole family can watch, ”promises director Raj Pathipathi. Filmmaker Som Singh, who is supporting Kanadante Mayavadnu, says that when the film was offered for release as dubbed versions in Tamil and Telugu, he has decided to remake it. “We have approached Jayam-fame Nitin for Telugu and Shiva Karthikeyan for the Tamil version. We should have confirmation soon.

Apart from this, the film was released on 31 January, but was engaged in this work for almost four years. "It has taken time, and has also tested our patience, (laughs). There are many days when we are concerned that the project may get shelved, but we believe that the film has taken shape well. Sindhu echoes this and says, “I am often asked if I have taken a break from films. Honestly, this project has kept me busy over the years. People may call it my comeback film, but as far as I am concerned, it is a project that will be a benchmark in my career. "
