Bengaluru: The phase of counter-attack between the BJP and Trinamool Congress (TMC) in West Bengal has intensified before the Assembly elections. BJP leader Rakesh Singh was detained by the Bengal Police in the Pamela Drugs case when the CBI questioned Ruchira Banerjee, wife of Abhishek Banerjee, nephew of CM Mamata Banerjee in the coal smuggling case. After the arrest of BJP leader Rakesh Singh, Kailash Vijayvargiya, general secretary of the party and in-charge of Bengal has blamed the Mamata government.

Vijayvargiya said that Mamata Banerjee can also take me into custody. He also said that Abhishek Banerjee's close Vinay Mishra is involved in many illegal businesses. BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya said that Vinay Mishra, is involved in illegal business ranging from coal smuggling to cow smuggling and sand smuggling. He claimed that all the papers are present near him, which contains a lot of evidence about Vinay Mishra.

Kolkata Police yesterday took BJP leader Rakesh Singh into custody. Singh is caught in the drugs case due to the faults of Pamela Goswami, an activist of BJP Yuva Morcha. Pamela, who was caught in the flaws of possessing drugs, has accused Rakesh of trying to implicate her. Rakesh got arrested while he was travelling to Delhi ignoring the Kolkata Police summons. BJP Youth Front leader Pamela Goswami arrested for possessing cocaine, blamed Rakesh Singh. Pamela shouted Rakesh Singh's name at the time of her court appearance. Though Rakesh Singh and his family denied the charges, they could not escape the police arrest.
