Kolkata: The process of meetings of the leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) continued from morning to midnight on Thursday, March 4, for the West Bengal assembly elections. In the name of the candidates for the Bengal elections, the Central Election Committee also churned. After the CEC meeting, BJP's Bengal in-charge Kailash Vijayvargiya said that the names of candidates for 60 seats have been decided.

Kailash Vijayvargiya said that the BJP will go to the polls without the CM candidate in Bengal. We will contest elections under collective leadership. After the results of the elections, a decision will be taken regarding the CM. He said that we do not declare a candidate for the post of CM in a state where our government does not exist. Vijayvargiya said that Suvendu Adhikari and Babul Supriyo from Nandigram have expressed their desire to contest from Bhawanipur.

He said that the party high command will take a decision on this. Apart from Supriyo from Bhawanipur, 10 other leaders have also expressed their desire to contest elections. The party will see what to do. BJP's Bengal in-charge Kailash Vijayvargiya said that we have not taken any final decision regarding whether MPs will contest the election or not. We will decide if needed.
