Story of Kajri Teej - A poor Brahmin lived in a village. Kajari Teej of Bhadrapad month came. Brahmani kept Teej Mata fast. Told the Brahmin, today is my mother's fast. Bring the Satu of gram from somewhere. The Brahmin said, where should I get Satu from? So Brahmani said that if you steal or want to rob. But bring me Satu. It was night time. The Brahmin got out of the house and entered the moneylender's shop. He took gram dal, ghee, sugar and weighed one and a quarter kilograms and made Satu. Hearing the sound, the servants of the shop woke up and the thieves started shouting. The moneylender came and caught the Brahmin.

The Brahmin said, I am not a thief. I am a poor Brahmin. Today is the fast of Teej Mata of my wife, so I was taking it only by making a Satu of one and a quarter kilos. The moneylender searched him. He got nothing but Satu. The moon had come out, the Brahmin was waiting. The moneylender said that from today I will consider your wife as my religious sister. He bid farewell to the Brahmin by giving him Satu, jewels, rupees, mehndi, lachha and a lot of money. Everyone worshiped Kajali Mata together.
