Ranchi: The Hemant government in Jharkhand is making continuous efforts to curb crime and accidents. In this sequence, the police revealed the double murder in Jamshedpur on Tuesday. At the same time, an incident of road accident was reported in the capital Ranchi. Three minor girls died in an accident in Ranchi.  

Police on Tuesday cracked the double murder in Jamshedpur in East Singhbhum district on Sunday. Police revealed that a young woman, along with her 37-year-old boyfriend, had killed her parents by beating them with a hammer and pressure cooker. The bodies of the couple were found lying in a pool of blood at their house in Manifitt under the Elco police station area on Monday, police said. Investigation into the case revealed that his 15-year-old daughter was missing. After that, on the basis of suspicion, she was searched and the girl was caught with her boyfriend Salit Kumar, a resident of the Omnagar in Birsanagar, from her rented house on Tuesday morning.  

Superintendent of Police (City) K Vijay Shankar claimed to have solved the case in less than 24 hours and said that the girl was about to run away from home with her boyfriend on Sunday night and get married, but her parents woke up. After that, when his parents stopped her from leaving, both of them beat them to death with a hammer and pressure cooker. After that, the young woman fled on a scooter with her boyfriend. SSP Prabhat Kumar revealed this on Tuesday. He said "The culprit has been sent to jail. Also, the minor girl will be sent to a remand home.'' He said that at the instance of the criminals, a hammer, blood-stained pressure cooker and scooter have been seized. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the IPC, including 302 (murder).
