Dussehra, also called Vijyadashmi as the name suggest it is the festival of victory of good over bad. It is the festival of joy and happiness. It is said that, everyone has some evil in their pure soul and they easily grab bad than good. Dussehra is all about teaching not to do wrong that will definitely give you drastic results.

Vijyadashmi is celebrated on account of victory of Shri Ram over Ravan who was by birth a Brahmin and had immense knowledge but he had to face defeat. Lord Shri Ram offered him to leave all evil and accept the path of truth but Ravan rejected and become against of Ram ji. Ravan to prove his estate abducted goddess Sita, wife of Shri Ram and also started to tyranny on everyone who supported Ram. So Dussehra is celebrated on the day when Ram killed Ravan to spread truth and peace in his kingdom. 

When we see modern era, we conclude that the time is not at all peaceful and true but it is full of wrongdoings. People have to fight against all the odds of 'Kam, Krodh, Lobh, Moh, Maya'. And it comes in various form.

Dussehra is celebrated every year not just to enjoy the victory of Ram ji but also to remind again and again every year that if you do wrong, you will gain only wrong. So we must treat today's Ravan i.e., terrorism as the evil of Ravan and try to beat it with all jointly effort to spread peace and truth in society.
