Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Panchayat and Rural Minister Kamaleshwar Patel, speaking to media in Bhopal on Friday, said that women of the Livelihood Mission Self-Help Group will be trained as masons, plumbers, electricians to link self-employment activities. He said about 10,000 women members belonging to the group have expressed interest and have started training.

Minister Patel said during a departmental meeting in Bhopal that " the process of technical training has been initiated in the state through Madhya Pradesh State Rural LivelihoodS Mission and other schemes. The female members of the Mission are selected for training as per their interest. So far 7397 women have been selected for mason training. ''

Patel said, "Right now 510 women have completed training and have joined employment activities and 2195 women are trained. 972 members have been selected for plumber training. Out of these, 149 have completed training and 116 are currently undergoing training. 1320 members have expressed interest for the electrician. At present, 193 women are trained. He has said that this will help women become self-reliant.
