Bhopal: Office of former CM KamalNath has given a ridiculous explanation after calling BJP leader Imarti Devi an item. Kamal Nath's office has said that there is nothing objectionable in the word 'item'. Everyone is item

According to senior journalist Pallavi Ghosh's tweet, a statement issued by Kamal Nath's office states, "@OfficeOfKNath issues statement -says “We are all items .there’s nothing objectionable in it, we are referred to as item numbers words have been distorted to deflect attention from the main issue like joblessness". On Sunday, the president of the MP Congress unit and former CM Kamal Nath made derogatory remarks about the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) women candidate, Imarti Devi, and called her an item.

Addressing the people, former CM Kamal Nath said about BJP candidate and cabinet minister Imarti Devi that "You know her better than me, you should have already cautioned me, what kind of an item is she". Politics has become very hot on this issue and the BJP has intensified attacks on its main opposition party Congress.  There is a demand from the BJP that Kamal Nath should apologize.
