Darbhanga:  unique cricket match was played at Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University in Bihar. In this match, all the players wore Indian attire Dhoti-kurta. During the game, a commentary in Sanskrit enchanted the people present in the stadium. In fact, under the 'Fit India' movement, a fancy cricket match was organized at the playground of the Sanskrit University.

A 10 over cricket match was played between the Teachers and the Students. On this occasion, all the players were wearing traditional dhoti-kurta. Also, the commentary of this cricket match was  done in Sanskrit.  People present in the stadium were shocked hearing the commentary in Sanskrit and that too fluently. Sportsman Santosh Kumar told the media that in India the game started with dhoti-kurta and commentary in Sanskrit. He said that 'we just want to give this message that we stay in a society and it is our duty to protect our traditional costumes and cultures. He also gave the example of the movie Lagaan for this.

At the same time, Vice-chancellor Prof. Sarvanarayan Jha praised PM Modi for 'Fit India campaign' and said that Sanskrit University is for the promotion and preservation of Indian culture, civilization and Sanskrit. We want to protect our culture and give this message to the whole world. Therefore, the students and teachers of this place are playing cricket in Indian costumes and doing commentary in Sanskrit which is our their native language.
