Every year, we commemorate National Daughters Day to honour and remember the girls and women in our lives. Parents of female protagonists in film and television share their pride, joy, and appreciation on this day. These include the parents of Vidisha Srivastava, Neha Joshi, and Kamna Pathak (Rajesh Singh, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan) (Anita Bhabi, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai).

Neha Joshi's mother Hema Joshi, who plays Yashoda in the &TV series Doosri Maa, says, "The first time I held Neha in my hand is still so fresh in my mind. When she looked at me, I was overcome with emotion, and tears started to fall down my cheeks. I started crying, and many of the people there assumed it was a baby girl because I needed comforting. Having hoped for a girl, I had to correct them, saying, "No, these are tears of joy" (laughs). There are no words to adequately capture how priceless that moment was. Neha has always been a very kind, loving, responsible, diligent, and imaginative young person. She used to sing and dance for all of her friends and family members to enjoy. Along with helping her with her studies, I also gave her extracurricular activities special attention. I am so proud of her right now for managing to successfully juggle her personal and professional lives. She is unique from others due to her simplicity and situational awareness. Despite relocating to Mumbai and currently filming for her show Doosri Maa, Neha never skipped a day of calling to ask "Aai Jevlis?" no matter how busy she was. Have you finished eating? I feel a stronger friendship than motherly connection with her. She calls me at odd hours, and we talk about everything. She frequently answers my questions about life and corrects me when I make mistakes. She is the only one who is fully trustworthy and who is aware of all my secrets. Neha is like a happy bird that brings joy and positivity into the house whenever she comes to visit. On National Daughter's Day, I urge all parents to show their appreciation for their daughters by emphasising how significant they are to them ".

Ajay Kumar, who plays Rajesh Singh, says this about Kamna Pathak's birth: "The day Kamna was born, I remember telling my wife, "Poori hui Aaj Hamari mano Kamna. As a result, my father and I decided to give her the name Kamna, and she will be the only grandchild in the family to bear my father's name for the rest of her life. The importance of Kamna in my life cannot be overstated. Our Indore home is also known as "Kamna," as I watched all of my future hopes and dreams come true. I feel incredibly proud every time someone tells me they saw your daughter in Happu Ki Ultan Paltan and thought she was an amazing actor. When Kamna was forced to leave us and move to Mumbai due to work obligations, she was extremely upset. But I can assure you that she still makes an effort to spend her special occasions, from her birthday to the festival, with her family. She regularly checks on us despite her busy schedule. She hears my wife and I out and speaks with us. I feel blessed to have a daughter like her rather than proud.

The mother of Vidisha Srivastava, Meena Srivastava, who plays Anita Bhabi in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, says, "God has blessed me with two lovely daughters, Vidisha and Shanvi. And in my opinion, a daughter is the best person to understand a mother. Being a working parent, I always made time for my daughters, which strengthened our relationship. They always made sure to be with me and tell me everything that was on their hearts and minds, no matter how much time we had together. When they were older, they began preparing meals and setting up my house to make my life simpler. Today, they are both successful actresses, but I am proud of the way they manage their fame, families, and names. My daughters make me feel complete, so I can't even begin to imagine my life without them. I'd like to say on this day, "Celebrate having a daughter every day."
