The tussle between the Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut and Maharashtra Government continue. Kangana is constantly active on social media. In this meantime, she has described the relationship of her ancestors to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. UP CM Yogi Adityanath announced that the Mughal Museum of Agra would be named after Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The latter said this while supporting the CM's tweet.

In a tweet, CM Yogi Adityanath said, "The museum under construction in Agra will be named after Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. There is no place for symbols of the mindset of slavery in new UP. Jai Hind, Jai Bharat". Reacting to Yogi Adityanath's tweets, Kangana claimed that her ancestors had a relationship with Shivaji Maharaj. Kangana writes, "Just how great leader Bala Saheb Thakeray’s bloodline goes back to Bihar, many theories trace great Shiva Ji Maharaj’s bloodline to the Royals of Jaipur".

She further said, "I am born in Himanchal but my ancestors/Ranaut’s came from Udaipur, our Kul Devi Maa Ambika is in Udaipur". Kangana's tweet is being linked to the controversy with the Maharashtra government. In another tweet, Kangana said, "A woman’s compassion and gentleness are often taken for her weakness, never push someone to a point where they have nothing to lose anymore, you only give them the freedom not many know, such people don’t only become dangerous but lethal as well."
