Kangana Ranaut and Anika Lokhande starter Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi recivied positive reponse and fans have praised the performance of the actors. The film received a lot of appreciation from the audiences, critics as well as the celebs.

On feb 14, Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy starting Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt hit the theatres. The film received a lot of appreciation from the audiences, critics as well as the celebs. People praised the director and performance of the actors. One such celebrity who is in love with Gully Boy is host Mini Mathur. Mini took to her Twitter page to share her review of this Ranveer-Alia starrer. She took and wrote,  "I never knew I could get goosebumps on the soles of my feet.. Gullyboy has made 2019 worthwhile already for me. #bhothhard #Gullyboy @RanveerOfficial @aliaa08 #ZoyaAkhtar @ankurtewari".

One of the fan bashed Mini for not watching Manikarnika. He tweeted to her, "@minimathur ur thinking also so mini..u got time to watch #GullyBoy  n not a single word for #manikarnikaqueenofjhansi  ..be equal to everyone dont be bias". To which Mini replied, "Oh I apologise to you profusely as I haven’t seen that film yet. And as the official national film critic it is my humble duty to write on every film By the way, how was the experience of making the film?"

Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli also slammed Mini for calling Manikarnika 'every film'. Rangoli wrote, "Its nt evry film @minimathur its d legnd f LaxmiBai, one f d bst period films evr made she’s no ordnry succes stry she’s d vry embodimnt of Bharat Mata if u faild 2 aprciat anodr womns effrts 2 bring dis gigantic conciousnes alive on big screen den dnt b coky bout it its nt funny."
