The Modi government has recently announced a new scheme called 'Agnipath' for recruitment in the army. This new scheme of the central government has started creating an uproar all over the country. The youth are fiercely opposing the scheme and have started damaging government properties. Actress  Kangana Ranaut has also given her statement on this case.

Kangana shared the post and wrote- "Many countries like Israel have made army training mandatory for all their youth. Under which every youth enlists in the army for a few years and is learning life values like discipline, and nationalism. At the same time, it is meant to do these words to protect the borders of your country by trying to learn. The purpose of Agnipath is not at all to give employment or give the means to earn money. Its meaning is quite profound. In the old days' everyone used to go to the gurukul, it is almost like that. However, now they are going to get paid for doing so. The youth who are being destroyed due to drug and PUBG addiction need this scheme. For which the Government should be commended.''

Reports say that under the 'Agnipath' scheme, the youth of the country will be able to serve in the water, land and air force for up to four years. The benefits of the Agnipath Scheme will be availed only by the youth in the age group of 17.5 years to 21 years. However, this year the age limit has been relaxed by two years for the youth. That means that youth up to 23 years of age will be able to participate in the recruitment to be held in 2022. No gratuity or pension is being given under this scheme.
