Patna: Kanhaiya Kumar, who raised the Communist Party of India (CPI) flag in Bihar, will soon be seen praising the Congress. There is speculation that Kanhaiya Kumar will join the Congress' on September 28, 2021. Kanhaiya Kumar is said to be joining the Congress in the national capital Delhi along with Gujarat's Scheduled Caste stalwart Jignesh Mevani.

Meanwhile, it is being reported that Kanhaiya Kumar has taken out an AC installed in a room at Patna office Ajay Bhawan in CPI. However, it was Kanhaiya Kumar who had installed the AC in the room, which he took out two months ago. CPI state secretary Ramnaresh Pandey also confirmed the same. Talking to a local media, he said that it was Kanhaiya Kumar who had installed the AC in the room of Ajay Bhawan. In that case, if he has taken it out now, there is nothing wrong. In fact, in February 2021, the CPI passed a censure motion against Kanhaiya Kumar, president of the alumni union of JNU. The action against Kanhaiya was taken after he assaulted office secretary Indubhushan Verma at Patna office. The national council meeting was going on CPI in Hyderabad then. Kanhaiya was accused of arriving with his supporters at the Patna office on December 1, 2020. A meeting on the Begusarai district council was to be held there.

But for some reason, the meeting was postponed and it was not communicated to Kanhaiya. On such an issue, his supporters had abused, pushed and assaulted state office secretary Indubhushan Verma. A censure motion was passed in the Hyderabad meeting against this. CPI General Secretary D Raja was also present at the meeting. This is where Kanhaiya became disillusioned with the CPI and now there is speculation that he may join Sonia and the team today itself.
