Kanika Sherawat Emerges As A Winner As She Swipes Away The Position Of Joint Secretary At The DUSU Elections 2019

Kanika Sherawat is currently topping in the headlines and why not? She has won it big in the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections. The students from both North Campus and South Campus colleges of Delhi University, as well as students of various departments, participated in the voting process which was held today. The results have finally been declared after more than 1.3 lakh students exercised their right to vote in the DUSU Elections 2019 today.

Studying in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College, Kanika who represented ABVP has been elected as the joint secretary of DUSU. While speaking about her victory, she said, “I am really thankful to all the students and faculty for showing trust in me and believing that I am capable of this post. Being a joint secretary, I will fulfil my duties with utmost sincerity and work hard towards the welfare of the students.”

Being a student in the BA programme, the newly appointed joint secretary has some major aspirations. “We have got great support from the students in this DUSU elections. Our consistent efforts to bring a change has finally come true. With that, we will make sure that the students will be given affordable transportation services in the form of AC bus passes and concessions for metro trains. We are also planning to have special transportation services for women at regular intervals keeping women safety in mind”, Kanika Sherawat added. 

After a great triumph, in the DUSU elections, it seems that Kanika Sherawat is all set to bring a great change among all the students of Delhi University.
