Ujjain: Vikas Dubey, the main accused in the Kanpur encounter, has been arrested from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. Despite Police's arrest, Vikas Dubey's arrogance did not diminish. When police arrested him and made him sit in the police van he showed arrogance and shouted, "Hum Hai Vikas Dubey, Kanpur Wale". Earlier, police reached the spot after getting information about Vikas hiding in Mahakal temple in Ujjain.
Even after being arrested, there was no shame on Vikas' face. He went with the same arrogance to the police car. Approaching the vehicle, when police tried to catch him and made him sit inside, he threatened the police and said that he is Vikas from Kanpur. Vikas Dubey shouted, "I am Vikas Dubey from Kanpur". As soon as he spoke, a policeman standing behind him slapped him.
Ashish, the priest of Mahakal temple, told that Vikas Dubey wanted to surrender himself due to the fear of encounter. After entering the temple premises, Vikas Dubey shouted and said that he is Vikas Dubey. He asked the security personnel of Mahakal temple to inform the police. After that, the police post of Mahakal temple was informed. This whole incident happened around 9 o'clock.
