Kanpur: The mishap occurred at 50km apart from Kanpur in Dehat, 2 people killed in accident and many were injured on Wednesday morning, 5.20AM. Accident took place when Sealdah Ajmer Express train 12988 suddenly went off track in Kanpur rail division.
As per the reports, nearly 15 coaches were derailed in which 2 dead and 28 injured. Many other trains affected in their route, due to accident. Rescue operation is being carried out by district administration and railway officers. Other rescue teams are sent at accident spot from Kanpur and Etawah.
Injured ones are sent to Hospital, Union Railway Minister, suresh Prabhu updated the news of situation on twitter by the tweet, “Injured already started getting medical care and doctors are attending to all. We are working with hospitals and district administration to offer all possible help.”
