Kanpur violence: UP Police to search bank accounts of 3 arrested PFI members, foreign funding to be probed

Lucknow: The UP Police will examine the bank accounts of three members of radical Islamic outfit Popular Front of India (PFI) in connection with the violence that broke out in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur last Friday after prayers. The police are keeping an eye on whether his bank account used to receive funding from outside India. The police will collect information about the money that came from outside in the bank accounts of these accused. 

Along with this, it will find out where the money came from if it came. Also where did they get the motivation from? In this violence in Kanpur, three members of the PFI were arrested by the police from Baconganj police station area over connection. According to the information, the police have arrested Saifullah, Mohammad Nasim and Mohammad Umar. The three accused were also arrested and sent to jail in the anti-CAA and NRC riots. Now the role of the three has come to light during the investigation of kanpur violence.

According to the police, the three had worked to gather the stone-pelters in the violence last Friday. The trio was in touch with zafar hayat hashmi, the main mastermind of the violence. So far, 50 people have been arrested in the Kanpur violence. It is being told that the city administration has identified 147 illegal properties of the accused. It is believed that there may be a bulldozer action on them soon.
