Ghaziabad: The route is scheduled to change from July 22 in view of the Kanwar Yatra. From 22nd of this month, all heavy vehicles will be barred from entering National Highway 58 i.e. Meerut Road. These vehicles will pass through National Highway 9 after the 22nd. Small trains will also be barred from entering National Highway 58 from July 25.

Small vehicles will also have to use the National High-Way 9 for traffic. Chalk-clothing arrangements have been made to ensure the smooth completion of the Kanwar Yatra. Ghaziabad Superintendent of Traffic Police Shyam Narayan Singh said that the number of CCTVs was checked on Friday (19th July) and drone cameras were also monitored.

It may be a bit difficult for people commuting from Delhi to Meerut to pass the National Highway-9. Because of the increase in the traffic load on National Highway 9, there is a high possibility of wheel jams.  Heavy vehicles coming from Delhi-Ghaziabad to Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Haridwar, Dehradun and Bijnore via Ghaziabad via Hapur, Outpost Silo-Second via Kithore Road to Kasba Kithore, Mwana, Debuma, Ramraj, Mirapur, Jansth, he will leave for Muzaffarnagar.
