Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh authorities has decided to permit the Kanwar Yatra this year from July 25, according to report. In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, earlier, U.P, Haryana and Uttarakhand had jointly decided not to allow the annual Kanwar Yatra. And Now, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to make arrangements for the pilgrimage by devotees of Lord Shiva this year. He has asked officials to issue necessary guidelines regarding this year's "Kanwar Yatra" as devotees go to neighbouring states of Uttarakhand and Bihar for Jalabhishek.
The Kanwar Yatra is starting from July 25. The home department has been asked to formulate a detailed guideline for regulating the yatra this year,” said a government spokesperson.
As per reports, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officers to arrange pointers for conducting the yatra whereas guaranteeing full compliance to COVID-19 protocols.
During the Covid-19, Yogi Adityanath said, “In view of Corona, necessary guidelines should be issued in relation to travel after communicating with the concerned state government”.
