Kanyakumari: A series of cases have been reported from the country day in and day out. The thieves had entered the ATM of the Kurumpnai branch of Indian Bank at around 1 pm on Thursday with the intention of cleaning their hands, though he could not succeed in their intentions despite several attempts.

CCTV footage of the same incident is going viral on social media. The footage shows the thieves wearing black jeans, black full sleeves T-shirts, and gloves. It is worth noting that the thieves used clown masks to hide their faces. Both the thieves can be clearly seen wearing clown masks in the video. The two men entered the ATM with an iron rod with the intention of stealing. This led to several attempts to break the ATM, but when they could not succeed, they left.

The same Karungal inspector D Rhenius Jesupatham said the accused immediately left as the road was busy due to the movement of fishermen. He said that the matter went unnoticed and people kept coming and going to withdraw money from the ATMs. The case came to notice when a man kicked the ATM machine in the morning and the alarm started ringing.
