NEW DELHI: Kapil Sibal, an independent from Uttar Pradesh who was just elected to the Rajya Sabha, will take the oath of office again on Friday after the first time was deemed invalid.

Sibal, who took the oath on Monday to begin a new term, will reportedly repeat it because the original oath was improper. BJP member from Karnataka Jaggesh had to take the oath again on July 18, the first day of the Monsoon Session, because his oath was improper. Chairman M. Venkaiah Naidu had SAID, without mentioning Jaggesh, that it is important to read the prescribed form before taking the oath since any variation will render the swearing illegal.

Narendra Singh Tomar, a Union minister, is set to propose a resolution to elect a member of the Coconut Development Board after Sibal administers the oath.
For the week starting on Monday, July 25, Union Minister V. Muraleedharan will make a remark about government business.
Union minister Ashwani Kumar Choubey will provide updates on the status of the implementation of the Department-related Parliamentary Standing's recommendations to the Department of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food, and Public Distribution.

Additionally laying papers pertaining to their respective ministries will be Union ministers Raosaheb Danve, Niranjan Jytoi, Anupriya Singh Patel, Shobha Karandlaje, Darshana Jardosh, and Som Prakash.
Arun Singh and Kirodi Lal Meena will also present the Committee on Water Resources' Seventeenth Report (2021–2022) on the Government's Response to the Observations and Recommendations in its Twelfth Report (Seventeenth Lok Sabha) on "Flood Management in the Country Including International Water Treaties in the Field of Water Resource Management with Particular Reference to Treaty/Agreement Entered into with AChina, Pakistan, and Bhutan."
