Lyricist Javed Akhtar has now raised questions about the attack on the house of senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal. In a recent tweet, Javed Akhtar wrote, "Those who attacked Kapil Sibal's house are the ones who attack the Modi government over democracy. Not only that, but Javed Akhtar also hit out at Rahul Gandhi's silence in his further tweet.''

You must be aware that the Punjab Congress is currently in turmoil and Kapil Sibal, part of the G-23 group, had questioned the Congress leadership over the turmoil. However, Kapil Sibal says, "We don't even know who is running the party, who is leading the party.''

Kapil Sibal has been under siege ever since such a statement was made by him. Congress workers had staged a protest outside his house at Chandni Chowk in Delhi following his statements. Some vehicles were vandalised during this period. Congress Rajya Sabha MPs Anand Sharma and Ghulam Nabi Azad have condemned the attack and demanded action from Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
