Karan's lawyer in the case says that "it is a crime to do this kind of thing against anybody" "Apart from writing a book on tantra-mantra, it is being propagated in different places. There is enough evidence against her and she will be punished," said Gurbani Oberoi, sister of Karan Oberoi, who has made her move to the Metropolitan Magistrates Court in Andheri in the case and Karan had told people on his  own after coming out of jail.

In the past, Karan said: "It is not easy to stay in jail, but the support I got is a great strength. When I went there on the first day, I was surprised to see the situation. I spent three days drinking water. Just used to eat biscuits. It's because the food that I was getting was difficult to eat. I was so upset that I kept awake all night. As they show in films, it's not in. Many people have been implicated in the wrong way. They are not educated. So their case is going on like that," he said.
