Jaipur: The Gehlot government in rajasthan seems to be in action mode over the Karauli violence. The government has initiated court proceedings to attach the properties of the four absconding rioters. They include Rajaram Gurjar, husband of former Karauli Municipal Council Chairman and Jaipur Greater Municipal Corporation Mayor Soumya Gurjar, State President of Hindu Sena Sahib Singh Gurjar, Matlub Ahmad and Anchi.
At the same time, the police administration is giving a place to place searches to arrest the four absconding accused. It may be recalled that violence had erupted in Karauli on April 2 after stone pelting at a bike rally held at Navasamvatsar. The police administration has taken a tough stand in arresting the four accused for creating nuisance. The properties of the four absconding accused will be confiscated after the warrant is issued by the court.
So far, police have arrested 29 accused in the Karauli violence. Police have so far registered 41 FIRs in connection with the Karauli violence. One of them has been registered by the police. The remaining 40 have been filed on behalf of both sides. In the first FIR of the police, 37 people were named. Police are conducting raids at various places to nab the absconding accused. Two minors have been sent to a juvenile home.
Congress govt to give compensation to 64 riot victims, only 20 Hindus
The Congress government in Rajasthan is going to give assistance to 20 Hindus out of the total 64 victims of Karauli violence. The government will distribute a total amount of 1 crore 20 lakh and 25 thousand rupees in the state law. There may be a dispute over giving assistance to only 20 Hindus. The state's main opposition bjp is likely to target the Gehlot government once again.
