Last year, Kareena Kapoor Khan received much-deserved applause for her captivating performance in her 2018 film Veere Di Wedding. Her role of Kalindi inspired many moviegoers and even critics hailed her performance as an outstanding one. However, not a lot of people know that as the film was about to go on floors, Kareena had got pregnant with Taimur. The actress, in a recent interview with Rajeev Masand, revealed that, after her parents, the producer of Veere Di Wedding, Rhea Kapoor was the first one she called to inform that she was with child.

In fact, Kareena also revealed that she started shooting for Veere Di Wedding when her son Taimur Ali Khan was six-and-a-half months old. “It’s unheard off where an actor has gone back to work so fast, especially after childbirth. But I was so sure that this is what I want to do that I picked him up and took him all the way to Delhi where we were to shoot,” Kareena said.

Because of Kareena Kapoor’s pregnancy the film got delayed right before going on the floors. In fact, Kareena revealed that she had texted her producer aka Sonam Kapoor’s sister Rhea Kapoor and asked her to go ahead with some other actress and make the film without Kareena, but Rhea had refused.

“I gave the producer a choice. I messaged Rhea honestly and said that listen I am pregnant and I just found out. She was actually the first person I told after my parents about my pregnancy because I didn’t want to take this responsibility that I have a producer on hand. So, when I messaged Rhea, I told her go and get one of the young girls and go ahead with the film,” Kareena Kapoor Khan said.

Well, we are glad that Rhea didn’t give up on Kareena and waited. Thanks to that, we have another memorable performance by Kareena that we got to see on the big-screen. Meanwhile, on the workfront, Kareena Kapoor Khan will be seen next with Akshay Kumar in the upcoming Dharma Production venture titled Good News, set to release on September 6. Following that, Kareena is also signed for Karan Johar’s next directorial venture titled Takht, which stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Anil Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor, among others.
