Karnal: Farmers have announced their protest against the lathi charge on Bastada toll plan in Karnal district of Haryana on August 28. After the discussion with the administration failed, the farmers broke the barricades and reached the Mini Secretariat. Annadata is sitting outside the Mini Secretariat Gate. This is where the anchor arrangements are in place and tents will be installed here. Farmers' leaders say the call was given and the siege of the district secretariat has been carried out. We are ready for discussion, but if our demand in the discussion which is to file a case against the SDM is not met, the strike will continue.

On the other hand, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait said that the farmers have cordoned off the mini secretariat indefinitely. With farmer friends, he will stand at the Secretariat. This is where the battle will continue. On the other hand, farmer leader Yogendra Yadav said that the farmers have reached to surround the district secretariat. Now, the next plan will be decided by making everyone sit here peacefully.

On the other hand, the failure of the administration to persuade the farmers has added to the problems of the government. The farmers had gathered at the New Grain Mandi with the intention of providing justice to the deceased farmer Sushil Kajal after the lathi charge along with their basic demands in this Mahapanchayat. The main demands for the withdrawal of the three agricultural laws, guaranteeing MSP as well as strict action against SDM Ayush Sinha, who directed the lathi charge, and the police personnel involved were also fully elevated.
