Bangalore: A 10-month-old baby in Karnataka has been confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus. The case has come to light in Sajipanadu under Dakshina Kannada district. The Deputy Commissioner of the area, Sindhu B. Rupesh, confirmed this. Earlier, a 65-year-old died due to coronavirus infection in Tumkuru, Karnataka. The elder had gone to Delhi by train on March 5 and returned to Tumkur on March 11.

Meanwhile, the corona investigation report of the elderly was found positive. Now the passengers traveling with the elderly in the train are being traced by the administration. This information has been given by Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Deputy Commissioner, Tumkuru. Earlier on Wednesday, an elderly woman of 70 years died in Karnataka due to coronavirus. However, after the death of the woman, the test report confirmed that she was infected with the corona. The number of people infected with corona in the state has exceeded 55.

The total number of patients infected with the coronavirus has so far reached 724 in the country. Out of which 66 have been discharged after treatment while 20 have died. These figures have been released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
