Bangalore: A shocking case has come to light from Chitradurga in Karnataka in which a 17-year-old girl poisoned 4 members of her own house to death. The girl was reportedly angry with discrimination in the affection shown between siblings. The incident took place in Lambanihatti in Isamudra village in July, which has now been exposed.

The dying members include the girl's father, mother, grandmother and sister, while her 19-year-old brother, who had fallen ill due to poison, has survived. According to police sources, the family had consumed 'Ragi Mudde' at dinner on July 12, which contained pesticide, after which they started vomiting and later four of them lost their lives. He said the accused only ate rice and rasam prepared by her sister. The food items and utensils used were sent to the forensic lab, and after investigation, it was confirmed that the ragi served to the family members was poisoned.

Police said the investigation revealed that the accused girl had grown up in her maternal grandparents' house and had gone to her parents' house about three years ago. She complained of "discrimination" in the affection shown by her parents between herself and her other siblings. That's why she poisoned the whole family.
