Bengaluru: A OLA cab driver in Karnataka's capital Bengaluru has been accused of indulging in obscene acts in front of a woman journalist. According to the woman journalist, the driver of the cab had started masturbating in front of her. The driver has since been suspended. Police have also taken cognizance of the entire matter and started searching for the accused. The complaint has been made by the woman journalist on 3rd December 2021 (Friday).

According to the woman journalist, the driver felt that she was not paying attention to her. When she looked at the driver, he stopped. Then she dared to scold him and stop the car. Then he stopped the car and ran away. According to the victim's female journalist, 'There were only street lights on. The emergency number was certainly there, but you can't think about it when you are in such a situation. Finally, she booked another cab and reached her house. The Bengaluru branch of OLA assured the aggrieved woman journalist that the driver has been suspended, a complaint has also been registered.

The victim wrote on social media that sadly these rapists do not know what and how to keep them in their pants. That is why women are reluctant to travel alone. Whereas it is not their fault. She wrote that OLA has assured me that the driver will never be hired again. OLA has taken cognizance of the complaint of the woman journalist and apologised to her. It has also informed about the action taken against the driver concerned.
