Karnataka: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai announced on Friday that a high-level conference with experts and senior officials will be held on Friday to review the steps to be taken in the wake of two Omicron instances reported in the state and to create new rules.

"The discussion will cover tactics to avoid the spread of a new COVID version as well as control strategies. Experts from the union government will also be consulted on the matter. New guidelines would be formulated as a result of this action "Bommai remarked.
